Wintergreen Care Guide 🌟🎄✨
Keep your wintergreens looking fresh, festive, and fabulous all season long! Whether you have a lush cedar garland, a fragrant pine centerpiece, a stunning winter planter or wreath, or a Grinch Tree these tips will help them stay merry until the New Year.
Water is Everything
Your wintergreens need hydration to look their best, especially arrangements with floral foam.
For Foam Arrangements: Check the foam every couple of days and top it up with fresh water to keep it moist. Pour water directly onto the foam—no need to soak the foliage.
Winter Planters: If your planter is outdoors and temperatures are above freezing, water the soil or base to keep the greenery hydrated. When it’s consistently below freezing, the cold naturally preserves your greens—no watering needed!
Spritz for Freshness
Wintergreens love a light misting to stay hydrated and vibrant.
Use a spray bottle to spritz the foliage every 1–2 days, especially for indoor arrangements or wreaths.
Bonus: Spritzing not only helps with freshness but also enhances that delightful evergreen aroma.
Keep It Cool
Cool temperatures are your wintergreens' best friend.
Indoor Arrangements: Place them away from direct heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, or sunny windows.
Outdoor Wreaths & Planters: The cold winter air naturally preserves greenery, so outdoor displays can often last even longer than indoor ones.
Wreath-Specific Tips
Location Matters: Hang your wreath in a shaded or sheltered spot to protect it from harsh sunlight or strong winds.
Spritz It: Like other greenery, mist your wreath every couple of days to keep it looking fresh.
Longevity Tip: If you’re using a fresh wreath indoors, keep it in a cooler room to prolong its beauty.
